Police issue warning about fake $50 notes circulating in Darwin

Northern Territory police have issued a warning after a Darwin business was handed counterfeit $50 notes.
The local business handed the notes over to police when they realised they were fake.
The notes have a paper texture and the security window has visible defects, having been glued on.

Police are urging the local community to watch out for counterfeit money being passed off as real.
Anyone who receives money they believe is counterfeit should immediately contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
